Illustration Friday: TEA

Like you didn't see this one coming...

Over on my design blog I have a million illustrations of COFFEE. Why, oh, why wasn't the theme this week coffee?! Anyway, I was at a complete loss this week, and then this teacup unicorn idea popped into my head, I thought it was kinda funny. The original sketch is below. I like them both; I consider it a great asset that I can amuse myself so easily. ;)

Obviously the expression of the teacup unicorn is the most dramatic difference between these two sketches. The top guy is proud to steeped in your tea, but it appears the guy down below, mmmm... not so much.

Great idea - agree funny :) Beautiful unicorns - the top "proud to be steeped in tea" is my favourite!

It's obvious you've been drawing horses for a long time, you draw them so well.Such good control over your graphite too.

You always delight me with your ideas and wow me with your talent and finesse! I like both - I see these as two stages - first the unicorn isn't sure about bathing in a teacup (maybe getting used to the really hot tea, like we have to ease ourselves into a really hot bath), but then he feels great and stands tall! Your work always makes me wish I could draw like you:>

If the word of the week is ever HORSE... you'll go NUTS! Ha!

Another nice job! but I don't think I will ever drink a cup of yellowish tea again... :o)

I love the expressions on your unicorns. These are very clever, who would have thought of dipping unicorns in your tea? I like it.

What an imaginative idea. Your drawing skills are outstanding. Somehow I missed this last week.
