Illustration Friday: Vacant

In real life she doesn't look this old or sad - but after a long day when she's just exhausted, her eyes to tend to gaze over in a bit if a vacant stare.

Graphite, digitally colored.

lovely drawing!
I was like that the other day
a night of not much sleep can do that as well.

Beautifully done MB. She looks vacant and somewhat wistful too. The colours are muted and perfect for this subject. The Texture on her clothes is particularly fine. Very well done.

She has a good vacant feel to her look.
I like the start of the texture in the clothing.
I think the linear feel is interesting.

I would sorta like to see some sorta midtone or light color in the background to help pop her skin and highlights. Just something to push her forward.

She looks quite interesting. Sort of distant and preoccupied.
I love to draw as well, though I draw more cartoons than anything else. However, my family will not allow me to study art...
Can you take a look at some of my drawings on my blog if you are free and give me some feedback?
