I'm not quite sure how I landed on this process of doing TWO drawings for
Illustration Friday, but this make two weeks in a row.
Trying to limit myself to line drawings for the time being, just as a challenge.
What is it about wombats that's so darn CUTE!?

I don't know what it is about wombats either, but they are super cute!
Nice line drawings! Very cute :)
this is super cute :D i love your line work :D
Yay wombats! Oh my goodness, I think wombats are just so cute. I think it's partly because they have such a big silly nose. And they're like giant guinea pigs. (Or so I imagine, as I live in the states and have only seen pictures. I've been told they can be quite mean and they do have those nasty claws, but I prefer to think of them as fluffy, happy and lovable.)
Really nice line work. The second one with the tiny bear-wombat is super cute, too! I think that little guy is trying to escape. Perhaps he is being squeezed a bit more tightly than he would like.
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments! I always love hearing feedback about my work. Cindy - that toy in the second drawing, that was EXACTLY what I was going for, the poor toy seems to be in a sleepy death-grip! ;)
I'm in the states too, I've never seen a live wombat, but it's a dream of mine to go to Australia someday and see all those FABULOUS-crazy animals in person.

Lovely!
These two illustrations are great! The wombats are adorable. I especially love the wombats sleeping in a pile. Very original idea for "Silent" :)
Oh, I love wombats. I think they may be my favorite native animal. Fantastic line work. So very well done.
And I absolutely adore the little one sleeping on the very top!
Thank you, thank you!
Randomly… I just realized, that I was drawing these cute and fuzzy creatures - while watching Dexter. Is that weird? ;)
I only just finished watching a documentry on the Hairy Nose Wombat a few days ago...I love your illustration.
