I like both, but I think I kind of like the first one because I love washes for illustration. It reminds me of the older books in the Grimms Bros. days. Hurray for you for going back to finish it though. Great job!
I've looked at these several times and I still see things that make one or the other "the best"... and I still can't decide:))) I guess it goes to show, you can do it one way or another, it doesn't matter, your talent is what shines through.
