Admittedly, this is more "windswept" than just "swept", but this is my story and I'm stickin' to it. Below are the various sketches I made in the process of arriving at the final drawing. I started with sand dunes because they're constantly
swept by the wind, shaped in fact… and then I stumbled upon the
Sand Cat, a critter I had never heard of before. They're pretty darn cute and I had a lot of fun drawing them over and over.

I really like how this turned out. Great job!
You final drawing is great! I like seeing your process too. Nice work.
Oooh, this is all kinds of goodness...love it, the whole swirled shape is perfect. It reminds me of the lovely illustrations in the Harry Potter books. Well done!
Oh, and I meant to mention that I also love the piece you did for Shadows. (I'm behind on my IF viewing...) I love the process of doing the little model, etc.
Beautiful!! I am awed by the cuteness. Great shapes and motion
Really nice! I like this a lot.

Thank you so much! Nice to hear you all like it… wondering if you still like it after I've messed with it now. LOL
BTW Sarah - I was thinking of the HP chapter illos when working on this, nice to know I achieved that result. The question is, is it TOO much like them?
This is really lovely, Melinda! I love the movement in it, one can almost feel the wind! Also a very nice composition! Your black & white work is wonderful!
